ABOUT THE BAKER

My name is Danielle and I am a home baker.

   But that's not all I do. I'm also a wife to the most amazing and supportive husband. We don't have kids (yet) but we do love our sweet Husky Korra and chunky cat Ellie. When I'm not in the kitchen making recipes, I am probably at work teaching children with disabilities. Otherwise, you can find me at home relaxing on the couch with a fresh cocktail surrounded by friends. We're also a bit adventurous and try our best to get lost in a new city whenever we can. We LOVE to travel. There's nothing better than making memories with the people you care about.

   I first learned how to bake from my mom, who learned from her mom, who learned from her dad. My Great-Grandfather actually owned and ran several bakeries in Ohio named "Gillespie's Bakery". I like to imagine that he is proud looking down on me today and guiding me through every recipe. I may call myself a home baker now, but my dream would be to one day open my very own Gillespie's Bakery. Join me on my journey and bake some delicious goodies along the way.
