ABOUT THE BAKER
WELCOME
My name is Danielle and I am a home baker.
But that's not all I do. I'm also a wife to my amazing and supportive husband. A new mom to the most precious daughter. And I would be remised if I didn't mention our sweet husky Korra, fluffy corgi Finnegan, and chunky cat Ellie. When I'm not in the kitchen making recipes, I am probably at work teaching kids with disabilities. Otherwise, you can find me at home relaxing on the couch or playing games surrounded by friends. We're also a bit adventurous and try our best to get lost in a new city whenever we can. We LOVE to travel. There's nothing better than making memories with the people you care about.
I first learned how to bake from my mom, who learned from her mom, who learned from her dad. My Great-Grandfather actually owned and ran several bakeries in Ohio named "Gillespie's Bakery". I like to imagine that he is proud looking down on me today and guiding me through every recipe. I may call myself a home baker now, but my dream would be to one day open my very own Gillespie's Bakery. Join me on my journey and bake some delicious goodies along the way.
